My job as a middle school teacher is to help prepare students for a 21st-century job market. Doing so requires them to have media and technological literacy. My school district provides students with Chromebook laptops, however the trackpads on these devices can cause lagginess when they are trying to create slideshows or practice skills using educational games. Every classroom minute is precious, and using a mouse is much more accessible for middle-grade students. This increases the quality of our screen time, creating more technologically proficient students who are prepared for a successful future!
