I have students ranging in ages from 4 to 10 years old. Their needs are diverse, but one thing they all have in common is that they love to do hands-on learning! With my youngest learners, we learn about how scientists work together to solve problems. The building sets will help grow their problem-solving skills and improve fine motor and language skills as well. Many of my students are second language learners and the more they communicate, the more their language skills grow. My older students study the life cycle of plants and animals. The best way to learn about it is to watch it happen! Both bean and mealworms have a fascinating and quick life cycle so students are able to see every stage of their life cycle in a short period of time. They learn how to care for plants and animals and take pride in watching them grow.
