Our high school band is in desperate need of new sousaphones. Right now our sousaphone players are struggling because their instruments are old and poorly tuned. Consequently, even when they play the correct note, it sounds wrong. Our students deserve to have their hard work reflected in the sound of their marching band. Marching band is a big part of school culture in our town. We want to make sure that we sound the best that we possibly can and this requires high-quality, modern instruments. The sousaphone plays a key role in the band, especially in some of the most well known marching band songs. The sousaphone's unique sound can often be recognized in typical marching band hits. The addition of new sousaphones to our band would truly make a difference in the quality of sound of our band.
