My students this year seem to have a big interest in reading, so I wanted to create a project in which they can choose a book for them to read that has to deal various topics throughout history. By having my students pick the book they are interested in, it will allow them to autonomy over their own education. I am hoping that this will increase both engagement and enthusiasm within my classroom. I want my students to be interested in the world around them, and this seems like the perfect way to let them engulf themselves into a story and dive deeper into history.
