My project will assist students that need help with their phonics. Currently, my school does not possess a specific phonics program to assist students. I feel this project will be a great way to assist students with various phonic strategies. I have students in my 5th grade class that currently read on a kindergarten level. I plan to use the materials to individualize instruction for my struggling readers. If they can improve with their phonic skills then their reading will improve and I feel they will gain confidence in their reading abilities.
