My students are struggling to connect with adults and peers after being out of the classroom for this extended period of time. They reside in a very rural area where resources are limited and often out of reach. The requested materials will equip an extra counselor to better support our struggling children. The district has been able to secure funds for an extra position, but basic materials will be helpful in creating a warm environment, connecting students to a new adult, and offering psychosocial education needed to promote change. This is essential to transition to a post-Covid school environment.
