These materials will complete a process by which each student will be able to experience music-making on any of three different instruments using headphones in the learning space thereby not distracting anyone else. Our school is a technical high school and music is a relatively new elective offering for students during their academic cycles. Currently, students choose to practice keyboard or guitar techniques. The electric drum set will enhance the curriculum because students will also be able to experience drumming through headphones. Therefore, if one visits the space, they will witness a room of engaged students on drums, guitars, and keyboards which would not be possible without the technology. Over time, they will be encouraged to form bands, learn how to practice together, and perform for each other in our workshop environment.
