All of our students want to be fully engaged when learning and feel a sense of agency when demonstrating their learning. The iMac we are seeking will help prepare our students, an activity at a time, to compete in the 21st century. The computer will enrich my teaching and allow me to create and deliver engaging and meaningful presentations for teachers and students, design assessments, and model for teachers how students can become better communicators, problem-solvers and ‘out of the box’ creators as they utilize the right apps/tools that will stretch their imaginations as they engage in math activities. An Apple iMac will enhance how teachers and their students interact with various digital learning platforms. When used effectively, technology tools can help engage students with different learning modalities while involving the multiple intelligences and brain-based learning. A new computer will be vital to my face-to-face and online instruction as I use it with students and colleagues alike. The power of technology with the iMac will empower students to learn in risk-free environments that allow them to be creative, designing math projects and collaboratively solving problems with their classmates. Help inspire and innovate the lives our our students and our teachers.
