My Gay Straight Alliance Club students would like to do an event for National Coming Out Day. They would like to sell special lanyards and make cards with LGBTQ facts that would hang from the lanyard. The students feel this would be a fun way to celebrate coming out and the bravery it takes to do so. It would also be a great way to signal to their peers that they are safe to come out to. Any proceeds from lanyard sales would be to fund future club endeavors and or donated to a local LGBTQ charity.
