The use of everyday sensory materials is need in my class daily, especially during calm down time. Using sensory materials throughout the day will allow my students to have a safe space to calm down and explore more hands-on activities. Having sensory materials are the class sensory area allows my students to calmly go into an area of the room to feel safe when calming down. Sensory materials helps minimalize my students having moments throughout the day in which they are very fidgety. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase the safe environment of my classroom, but you will ultimately help to increase their focus during their academics. Students will not only have a safe place to learn, but a safe place to express their emotion during stressful moments. Plus during this time of changes everyday in the school, having an successful sensory area will ensure students to be able to learn more about their emotions while also feeling safe.
