The LHS Scene Shop currently has an inoperable panel saw which means our students are unable to cut down large sheets of lumber, foam, and lauan safely or with any accuracy. Our technical theatre students are responsible for building and assembling all of the amazing sets for our productions, and safety is always their number one priority. It’s time we give them safer (and operational) tools to work with. A new panel saw would help immensely in the safer ripping and cross-cutting of large sheets for our large builds, but funding has been tight due to Covid. As we are getting back on our feet and moving forward with great artistic work, we want to ensure our students have the things they need to be successful.
