Sometimes, students with sensory needs might struggle to stay calm and focused in school. They might feel overwhelmed by the noise of the crowded hallways, cafeteria, or gym. Maybe they're unable to sit still and quiet during a school assembly. It might even be too difficult to focus on a lesson in their classroom because on that particular day they feel as if they cannot stop moving. The cozy pea-pod and weighted blanket would be a much-needed addition to the sensory space that is being created in our school. The students will be able to go to the sensory room when they need a break and relax in the cozy pea-pod, or snuggle with the weighted blanket to help regulate their bodies so that they are ready to return to their classrooms and learn!
