Ukuleles are fantastic instruments to provide for elementary and middle school students. It helps with coordination, reading, and creating. Ukuleles are also perfect for distant learning. If a student needs to be quarantined, they can take a ukulele home with them and I can provide lessons for them to work on. I want my students to be able to play songs that they love, to get them even more engaged in lessons. Students will learn how to work together to play a piece for our concert. Ukuleles also provide opportunity for collaborate learning. I will divide them into groups to learn different songs, then have them "perform" for the other groups. I would also like to incorporate "Ukulele Karate" as an incentive for students to learn.
