My students use Interactive Notebooks to help build foundational skills needed to be able to read and write at grade level. We incorporate vocabulary lessons, visual writing prompts, and foldables to enhance their skills. Because interactive notebooks are a great part of our curriculum, the students would benefit from having their own supplies readily available for class. Because of the pandemic, we aim to keep our students' health and safety in first place. Students learn well from hands-on activities that ensure growth and development in their first and second language acquisition. I have also requested paper money that I plan to use as a resource to teach currency and financial literacy to my emergent bilingual students. Many are new to the United States and unfamiliar with the currency. I believe that all of these resources will highly benefit my students in their educational careers.
