Our school adopted a new program this year called Capturing Kids' Hearts (a social emotional learning course) in order to better serve students who need a little more discipline and love. A major part of the program is rewarding and praising students for their good behaviors and recognizing when they need to take a mental break. The sensory toys will be used as both prizes for students who display good behaviors and fidgets for students who may need to take a break/regroup. The candy will serve as a prize for students displaying good behaviors as well. In order to receive any prizes, students must earn it. They will be able to "purchase" the prizes and candy at the school store with bear bucks (a school-wide incentive given to students who display good behaviors and school core beliefs) and kindness coins. The lanyards, mesh pouches, and coin purses will be used for teachers to carry around bear bucks and kindness coins so they can be readily available to give to students. Our teachers give their all to their students and to make their life easier, we'd like to give our all to them.
