Young learners benefit from hands on opportunities to express themselves and from exploring various materials. Aside from being a fun and expressive activity, art can help learners enhance their fine motor skills, use and learn language, provide a sensory experience and help children learn how to pre plan. Students who have a safe space where exploration is encouraged gain self confidence, experience and opportunities to interact with their peers. They additionally feel a sense of belonging and community when their hard work is displayed in the classroom to share with their peers and class visitors.
