I am creating a recharge zone and wellness room for our hardworking staff. These pandemic years have sadly caused many teachers and staff to feel so overwhelmed that they have left the education profession. The ones who have stayed or joined the profession are overworked and nearing exhaustion. So many of our students fell behind last year due to COVID absences so this year our teachers and staff are working extra hard to make up for it. Our teachers and staff need to know that they are appreciated and that their extra work has not gone unnoticed. They need to know that they have the support of our community. They need to know that we have their back. This recharge zone and wellness room will offer them a place to find calmness at the beginning or end of the day. They may choose to sit in a massage chair, do some yoga stretches, or do a small craft or puzzle. These activities will give our teachers the gift of quiet centering so that they will have the energy and focus to keep putting our students first... all day... every day.
