These materials will help bring our science units about plants to life, literally! This year, students will learn about plant structures and functions, classifying plants, seasonal adaptations, and photosynthesis. At the same time, they will be growing plants and connecting their observations, research, and activities to these units. Students will be engaged by connecting real-life experiences to their lessons in class. They will even hopefully be able to taste the fruits and vegetables that they grow! They will see the parts of the plants, share how the plants are growing through photosynthesis, and observe how the plants are adapting to the change in weather! At the end of the units, students will create plant fossils using natural objects that they will be able to take home!
