Students will use these tools to deepen their growing knowledge of phenology, ecology, and biology of creatures they see around them and in other Minnesota environments. By exploring animals around them, the experience is culturally relevant and engaging for all of my students, while also engaging their science learning through multiple modes of learning. Through the use of creative exploration, students can enhance their scientific knowledge, their academic vocabulary, and understanding of life cycles and how animals grow and change. Students will also construct animal habitats using real world materials.
