By providing outdoor seating for my students, they will be able to spend more time outdoors engaging in meaningful, critical, scientific work. These seats are flexible, so they can be used for independent or group work. They can be moved to new observation sites. They protect students from the elements, keeping them dry and off of the frozen ground. Having these seats will allow students some of the comforts of an indoor classroom, but with the engagement and experience of an outdoor education. While a small addition to the classroom, these seats will provide huge opportunities for students to engage in learning.
