My ultimate goal is to follow the American School Counselor's Association for school counseling programs. We are a brand new charter school in Texas whose whole goal is to incorporate social-emotional learning and character building in everyday lessons. By contributing to my Donors Choose, you are contributing to a child's future. The products that I want to order include books and basic supplies that will be incorporated into SEL lessons. The books are all SEL based and each will provide a supplement to each lesson. The other basic resources will enable to create worksheets, mindfulness journals, and to teach impulse control/anger management with fidget toys. Many of our students are of low social-economic status and many are children of immigrants and/or children who live with extended family members. We want to create an environment that they will thrive in. We offer students free breakfast and lunch every day and after school care--to put the parent's minds at ease when they come to our school. By choosing to support my school counseling program, you are contributing directly to a child's well-being and life. Anything you decide to donate will not go unused. Thank you!
