Most of these books were chosen to add to my classroom library so students will have a variety of books to choose from. Students in my class take a book home each night to read in order to develop their reading ability and expose them to a variety of good children's books. Some of these books were specifically chosen for reading aloud in the classroom to teach specific reading content such as plot, setting, the development of characters, and problem/resolution. I want to instill a love of reading in my students. Exposing them to a variety of books will help me achieve this goal!
