Access to a high-quality engineering curriculum is crucial for every student in the 21st century. In our class, we provide hands-on experiences for our students to learn and develop crucial problem-solving skills that they can take with them after high school. This project will allow my students the opportunity to design and build solutions to problems in their own communities. Students will investigate water treatment and management in their community, and design a new storm drain using clay and other building materials that reduces pollution. They will then present their research to community members.
