Students in our school district face several behavioral and learning challenges. By creating and space for sensory regulations. This can include de-escalation of problem behavior and an increase in the student's concentration. Providing students, teachers, and potential therapists with the appropriate resources and materials can lead to a decrease in behavioral issues within the classroom, subsequently increasing in-class participation. When students have access to appropriate materials for stimulation, they are able to engage with various areas of the brain which can lead to an increase in the retention of the new information. We also want to include materials for students who will learn various life skills such as self-care, social skills, money handling, and cleaning. Developing life skills aids students in becoming more independent both academically and socially. Life skills are a combination of knowledge and skills that provide students with the necessary tools to perform daily tasks in their life.
