This rug will provide a space for students to interact and share ideas when learning brand new materials and lessons. The squares will also help students with cues for spacing and sitting. In a kindergarten classroom, rug time is often what is remembered in years to come. It is where students can make meaningful conversations and connect to new ideas of learning. During rug time, students will be seated or standing during Math, Science, Literacy, and ELD lessons; participating in movement activities to focus attention on the lesson at hand.
