Students are eager to learn science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). I want to foster their eagerness from the moment they enter the building to the very end of the day. I would like to have these materials to use when the students first enter the classroom in the morning, during indoor recess, as they wait for afternoon pickup as well as when they align with our regular math and science curriculum. These wonderful and engaging activities will provide my students with many opportunities to explore engineering, cooperative learning, and problem solving. When students use different materials to create and problem solve, they are learning to think outside of the box. They gain knowledge and confidence as they complete these activities. Students love hands-on activities and STEM Bins feel more like playing a game with friends rather than participating in a school project.
