We will spend several weeks learning about circuits. Our students begin making those connections between the things they use in their everyday lives and what we are doing in the classroom. They build Series and Parallel Circuits to manipulate by removing wires or flipping switches. Models are drawn and compared to the concrete object. By manipulating the models and drawing pictures, the students develop a better understanding of the flow of electrical energy, all of the things that energy flows through, and build their academic vocabulary. Circuits are the concept that gets them excited for the Science Fair.

About my class
