I have had a HUGE dream to have coding robots in my classroom for over 2 years! As I have gotten to know my students this year I cant imagine a better group of big thinkers who deserve to have this type of an educational advantage! These tiny robots are perfect for beginning coders. These robots are able to read and respond to different colored markers included in this classroom set. As first graders, they love drawing, and all it takes to make these robots go is a simple line! In addition to learning basic coding which will open their minds to exciting opportunities in their future, we can use these robots in a variety of academic areas. For Language Arts they could be used to retell stories to check for comprehension, they can also be used in a variety of ways in math, and in social skills areas. The amount of projects we can use these for are endless! I know this goal is huge but I believe it will be so worth it!
