I work with some wonderful families some of who encounter financial struggles so, it is very difficult for them to purchase a pencil box full of the things a child needs to use during class daily. I am a first-year teacher and purchasing for all of them myself is not an option even though I would love to. Everything my students need can fit neatly in a new pencil box. I'd like to fill the boxes with pencils, an eraser, a sharpener, markers, scissors, and a glue stick. They would be so happy to have their own supplies. I would be happy as well to see them all have what they need.
