Often times we dismiss the fact that teenagers struggle with so much: peer pressure, living up to their parents' expectations, chores, relationships, make straight A's and all E's in conduct, and raging emotions. Many times, they are expected to cope and continue moving on. Realistically, it is hard for teenagers to function today....and just think, they too have experienced a pandemic. I want to create an environment where the students can relax and release all those pressures they experience outside of school. I want to provide my students with a comfortable seating area and provide them with mind-stimulating activities. I plan to create a comfortable area with a rug and bean bags. I also want the kids to have puzzles, coloring materials, and games to help ease their minds from stressful home and school environments. I want to help keep them safe by making sure we have enough masks and clean air in our classrooms.
