Providing a variety of types of sensory input will benefit all of the children in my class. Engaging in sensory play calms children's bodies, increases tolerance to various textures, and builds connections in the brain. Sensory play is an area that regularly draws a crowd in the classroom and allows the children to engage with each other socially and practice conflict resolution when it is needed. They love sensory play and this project would give us additional types of textural input so that they can expand the sensory play I regularly see.
