The ability to stand and continue working is a great means for hyperactive students to appropriately expend energy in a non-disruptive manner. Our school serves students from 7 districts who have been removed from their home schools because of disruptive behaviors. We need the structure of these "standing desks" to support a laptop computer, provide room for taking notes as well as stand up to the movements of the students. I have personally purchased lightweight music stands for this purpose but it was quickly apparent that they were inadequate for the task. Our goal is to provide the best opportunity for our students' success while addressing each of their unique learning styles and needs. It has been stated If students are not learning the way we teach, we should teach them the way they learn (paraphrase). Thank you for your consideration
