All of my students have significant speech delays along with other problems. Using technology is a great way to help them practice language and improve their ability to communicate. My students thrive on rewards and praise and using the iPad as a reward would be a great tool to use in the classroom. I also plan on using the iPad as an educational tool and allowing the kids to access different kid-friendly learning websites to expand the ways in which they learn. As a special education teacher, I also will use it to help record data and observations to better improve my instruction and teaching.
