A typical day in my classroom consists of students sitting at their desks and students working in small groups. I want my students to work together and learn together! Comfortable students are students who can learn! Everyday I have students tipping over chairs because they are leaning back and/or trying to rock in their chair while they are learning. Wiggling and wobbling helps with focusing for a lot of these 3rd graders! Focused 3rd graders can be more intentional in their learning. Wobble stools would enable students to move while they are learning! My goal is to allow for choice. Students can choose which seating option is the best for them to learn. Some may prefer a wobble stool while others learn best using a chair with a back. As a teacher, I wish to support each student in a way that is meaningful to them!
