My goal this year is to move my students’ English proficiency levels as well as building their vocabulary. Read Alouds are done daily focusing on social emotional learning. The students select a variety of books each week to read independently in school and at home. They respond to their reading and set reading and writing goals. The students participate in class discussions multiple times throughout the day reflecting on "mirrors and windows" showcasing the students identities. The fulfillment of my request for the materials will help the students succeed because they will have access to a variety of materials on all levels.
