While I am working with small groups to teach my students to read, the rest of the class is engaged in learning centers. One of our learning centers is where students work on their phonics on an app on their iPad. The app is tailored to their needs. My students are in their learning centers all around my classroom and can become distracted by friends who are nearby. If my students had headphones to use on their iPads, it would ensure they could focus better and would have less distractions.
