Nowadays, graphing calculators are not just a part of the high school math curriculum. They are also required for AP Calculus and AP Statistics; they are allowed on and are helpful when taking SAT/ACT exams; they are used in college math and science classes. So, students who use graphing calculators in their classes are not only learning the curriculum, but are also acquiring college prep skills. I believe that every student in my classroom should have an opportunity to develop skills that will increase their chances of getting into college or taking advanced math courses. Having a class set of TI-84 calculators will provide my students with a tool to learn the essential skills.

About my class
