My first grade students attend an inner city school. Due to COVID almost all of them are interacting with other children in a school environment for the first time. They get so excited to play together on the playground. Research shows how important it is for children to have physical activity breaks each day. Playtime actually leads to more successful learning. They are not only learning sports skills. They are also learning valuable life skills such as, sharing, taking turns, and following directions. This shed will allow the teachers of all 500 children access to our playground balls, jump ropes and more to allow a quick transition from one recess group to the next.

About my class
