We are a small school district and we use our minimal supply of instruments for nearly ever grade. We end up having to share a lot of instruments (especially for our younger grades) so that they can all have a chance to play, but then those that wish to cannot take them home to practice. We discovered this year that 4 of our flutes were broken and 3 of our trumpets. This diminished our already small supply. We are working on repairs, but some of our trumpets, for example, are still bent and falling apart and a couple of flutes have keys completely missing! We also need more cleaning and maintenance supplies (cleaning rags, oils, etc.) to make sure they can last longer.
