We work in a low economic school district and are a primarily computer based campus. This means most of the lessons are on the computer and an overwhelming majority of our students can't afford the needed supplies. This includes buying their own headphones, this leads to them watching videos with closed captioning while trying to take notes. Being able to hear the lesson will improve their retention and improve their experience. We also struggle with providing students with the same versions of items they use on their home campus. We tend to be a couple generations back on things like calculators. We currently have only a few calculators and they are very old, so we need to start replacing them. I believe this will lead to many of our students being more successful when they return to their home campus.
