Building the fundamentals of the game of basketball in one of lowest socioeconomic areas in Memphis, Tennessee will help support social skills not only at this age but throughout life. When students put in the time practicing with their peers several days per week. I see a transference in to the world of work. Students will use the resources at the school, not at home. My vision is to increase parental support for our student population which in turn to help build familial relationships. When students feel supported, they see a reason to do the right thing. Sports can be the change agent to motivate a student to increase student achievement.

About my class
