The CATS students want to start a coffee cart at our school for our teachers and office staff. They will work collaboratively to effectively run a student-run coffee cart business out of our room. This project will give them several opportunities to work on important skills such as communicating with their peers and adults, following directions, advertising their business, and keeping track of orders, supplies, and profits. They will also learn about safety on the job. They will be in charge of collecting coffee orders each week, organizing the order sheets and needed supplies, preparing the coffee, and then delivering the morning fuel to adults within our building. On the social side, this project will allow them to build relationships with all teachers and staff throughout the building. Interacting with people they may not typically converse with will help them further develop their social skills. At the same time, this project will hopefully help the school staff save money on expensive drinks from local coffee shops.
They already wrote up a business plan, and now they need to purchase the items needed to start making and selling coffee.
Donations for funding this coffee cart will my students learn many skills that will benefit them throughout life. Please help my students grow academically and socially by supporting our coffee cart business!
