The headphones will provide my students, who are English learners, years of opportunities to practice speaking and amplify their voices. Being able to speak English fluently is critical to my EL's success both inside and outside the classroom. ELs must pass a speaking portion of a language proficiency assessment to score out of ESOL services and be fully immersed in mainstream classes without support. One specific way I can improve my students' language development is by having my students practice using headphones for listening and speaking practice. Listening and speaking are vital skills for language learning. I want my students to enjoy listening and speaking practice.
