We are starting a middle school book club to help students find enjoyment in reading and discussing books with peers. I want to purchase small group book sets so students have a variety of titles from which to choose. The students will be grouped by their book choices. Although they will have some class time to read, they will do the majority of the reading outside of school. The more students enjoy reading, the more reading they will do. I believe that self-selection of books will help students enjoy Book Club. The wider variety I can offer them, the more likely they will find a book that takes them to a new world.
