Every day I teach technology and these kids want to play with robots and build things and interact with technology beyond the computer. I have only 6 robots beyond the stack of Legos of WeDo's and Mindstorms. However, due to technology always changing, the Chromebooks will not support the programming we need to do to program our robots. The iPads we have are old and cannot support the apps for the Robots. I'm seeking these tablets to open and extend opportunities in multiple ways in technology to my students. These Android tablets will be used in a classroom that supports 600 students from PreK to 8th grade in a variety of projects for STEM, programming, and drawing. I want to expand the opportunities in using and programming robots for my students and promote/aid the strong interest in digital drawing. I hope one day to see the creations and ideas these kids come up with and hope to see more than one robot actually drawing the alphabet through the programming a student did and see the digital drawing inspirations come to life. Maybe have a programmed artist robot =).
