Kindergarteners come to school with a wide variety of life experiences. Some can write their name, others can count to 100, and some even read simple books. However that is not everyone. Some of my kinders have never held a pencil, they have never had a story read to them and some have no idea how to hold a pair of scissors correctly let alone cut effectively with them. This is when Playing with Playdough makes a difference. When the kindergarteners are molding the playdough into different shapes and creations they are building strength in their tiny hands. All the rolling, poking, squishing, flattening and much more help develop much needed hand strength for future fine motor skills such as writing, coloring, and cutting. Creating together is learning together! Thank you for considering donating to this project. We appreciate you!
