These materials will allow my students the social and emotional benefits of creating successful art projects. Students will paint blue dogs like George Rodrigue, create still life sneakers, create a collaborative castle in the style of Mary Blair, and design tessellations in the style of MC Escher. With so much devastation and loss around these children, I want them to feel cared for. I want to give them the power to create something beautiful, despite all that they have lost. These children deserve a fresh start to create a better world.

About my class
