Our transition program currently has a kitchen without a range. The program is designed to help students transition from school into the real world. Obtaining a range would greatly enhance the program and the students' opportunity to learn. This transition project of learning to cook, following recipes, adjusting measurements, and determining the result of heat on liquids and solids will incorporate English, Math, and Science greatly enhancing their ability to thrive on their own. The donation of a stove will benefit this year's classes as well as classes for many years to come. The skills they learn will not only assist them with their personal lives at home but will also broaden their skill base for future employment.
