Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs is good for him. This quote written by Maya Angelo is indeed true. The students at my school, which is in a small rural town, are fun loving, kind, and smart. It is a joy to see most of the students at my school engaged in reading books of their choice either for pleasure or to gain new information. I’m the Reading Coach, and I’ve noticed that most classrooms lack a “just right” classroom library that would support all students in my building. It would be incredibly awesome to see all students at HES engaged in reading books that they want to read and are “just right” for them.
