I will be using the Kindle FIres with my ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students as they learn to read English. ESOL students have been found to transfer prior learning in their native language to their new language. I want my students to be able to read books in their language (to strengthen their native language) while learning a second language. My students often struggle finding books in their native language. I also think it is important that they have access to a variety of low level English books as they learn the language.
